About this course

Most real data is messy: missing values, inconsistent spellings, numbers stored as text. This course teaches the full workflow analysts use every day — from loading a raw spreadsheet to a clean dataset, clear charts and a short written report.

We use Python with pandas, matplotlib and SciPy in Google Colab, so you can work from any computer. The examples use a health-facility dataset, but the skills apply to surveys, sales and any tabular data. If you have never programmed, take our free Python Programming Fundamentals first.

Requirements

  • Basic Python (variables, lists, loops) — our free Python course covers it
  • A Google account for Google Colab

Who this course is for

  • Students analysing data for a project or thesis
  • M&E and data officers in NGOs and ministries
  • Excel users who want to move to Python
